It's pretty safe to say that Mike Brown and Antoni have shortened Kobe's career...
by playing him 40 minutes a game even though he's now in his 17th season.
Just look at the older stars playing now. KG and Duncan are only averaging 30 minutes a game. Pierce plays 33 minutes. Kobe was only playing about 34 minutes when Phil Jackson was there in 2011. It's just common sense not to play your aging superstar 40 minutes a game in the regular season. The legs eventually give out. It explains Kobe's recent struggles. His body is starting to break down.
Of course the Lakers front office also deserves blame for not surrounding Kobe with any depth, but the coach has to find a way to limit his minutes.

Im having hard time feeling sympathy for a multi-millionaire athlete, global icon, that plays with 3 hall of fame teammates. Give me a minute to muster up some tears.

Dude's been playing for 17 years. What more do you want?
But seriously, if your boy knew how to stop f@cking around and just put teams away early, and not allow opponents to hang around in games, while shooting 1-10, 3-15, 5-19, etc. for 3 straight quarters, then maybe he could get the rest that his old knees deserve.

That's only happened in the last few games, because his legs are dead. He's been efficient for most of the season.

blame kobe. he doesn't want to be taken out of games or his minutes reduced, he wants to guard the other teams best player, he has over-chucked some games this year but nowhere near as bad as previous years but still....and the commentators said Kobe has been practicing late night at gyms even after games. then add to that Kobe saying he's felt the best he's been in a long time i don't know why people keep blaming D Antoni for overdoing Kobe. he's overdoing himself. if kobe wanted to he could easily reduce his own wear and tear.
