bballbreakdown: What P.J. Carlesimo Is Doing Differently
I don't know how yall feel about coach nick since he doesn't have much credentials and can be biased at times, but he brings straight up facts with numbers into his analysis this time and absolutely nails it.

He has a point, we do benefit from the easy schedule. Now we are going into a tough stretch, lets hope we win half of them. The schedule in April is easy though, so if we are still 6-8 games above 0.500 at the end of March we will win at least 45 games this season. Not too bad for a team that starts 14-14 with coaching changes.
Re: bballbreakdown: What P.J. Carlesimo Is Doing Differently
Now I look back at this video, coach Nick was correct. Carlesimo really is just a mediocre coach, but he knows how to get along with players and motivate them to play at their best potential.
The Nets have benefited from easy schedules, but even with easy schedules we might have gone 7-7 with Avery Johnson rather than 12-2. The team is fighting for a coach that every player respects, the chemistry is there.
The issue is, well, the Nets still play so much iso-ball, and coach Carlesimo's mediocrity at tactics will get exposed in playoffs. Hopefully we land a few more pieces by trade deadline, if we do get Millsap we'd be pretty much guaranteed a trip to ECF.
