Default Tina Turner Renouncing U.S. Citizenship, Will Become Swiss Citizen

http://www.inquisitr.com/495585/tina...swiss-citizen/

You know things are bad when US citizens no longer want to admit that they were born in the US.

some rich people do that for tax reasons, like that facebook billionaire guy.

US taxes do suck a big d!ck though.

also, a swiss passport is as good as a US passport in terms of traveling. they don't really need visas for 1st world countries.

not only that, but the IRS tax citizens for everything, from estate inheritance tax to transferring a company to your own mother. basically, if you pass things to your own family without even earning a real penny or selling, the US still hits you with bullsh!t taxes.

She has been living in Europe for a long time and Switzerland for almost 20 years. I'm not surprised she has done this.

Pretty much this.

I didn't see any political or economical motives in this at all.

I'm wondering for the average person...would doing this make it harder for you to visit the United States again?

I'd consider it for like an Aussie citizenship one day.

Exactly.

This only shocks the" I know the US is the greatest country on earth, even though I have never been anywhere else" crowd.

She likes over there and wants to stay. No biggie.

Haven't heard her name in years, I used to have the major hots for her back when I was a younger lad.

sucks man. that's f--king bullshit. passing sh!t to one's offsprings should not be treated like some corporate "business transaction" but that's how the IRS operates.
