You're right. You just keep owning and "smacking" everyone that comes at you. Clearly your opinion is flawless and everyone else is silly to make suggestions such as DRtg can't and doesn't tell you everything you need to know about defenses; and maybe, just maybe, doing some research and watching some games might be helpful. But yes, you're clearly the only one that knows what he's talking about.

You don't really need to watch how well teams defender other players to know how well they defended Jordan. Just watch how they defended Jordan.

but its worth noting that these strategic adjustments to the new rukes only really became popular in the last 5 years or so, so only like a third of kobes career.

on the whole, id say the average defenses kobe and jordan faced, were of pretty much equal quality.

I would disagree with this simply because teams very rarely even use the zone. In fact, all the best defensive teams play man to man; they sag, but it's still man to man. I've only seen teams try to run a zone for very brief stints, and they usually wind up getting torched by the other team's shooters. Zone's are pretty easy to score on in comparison with man to man, if you can shoot - that's the catch.

Kobe entered the NBA at age 18, and he’s 36 now; Jordan played from age 21 to 34, retired and played again from age 38 to 39. So their overlapping years are 21 to 34.

21-34 just to make it fair and give Kove some chance.

Jordan have better career assists numbers. Yes they missed another aspect of the game where Jordan was clearly better, including a 8.0apg season that Kobe never came close.

indeed.

They left it out because it doesn't flow with whatever agenda they were pushing when they made that infographic.

How does that matter if it's the same and Mj has the advantage in all the other areas. Kobe wanted a 6th ring bad. This guy copied every one of Mj celebration after winning a chip. Must eat him up he couldn't get 4 more MVPs,4 more finally MVPs and most of all 1 more chip.

If it doesn't matter why leave it out? I'm supposed to believe that every other percentage statistic on that chart was important enough to mention but not that one.?

The same percentage against more efficient defenses plus longevity. But you are right guys lets just pretend it doesn't exist like the basketball reference guy. It makes your internet arguments sound better.

End of Thread.

Kobe = A Very Good Perimeter Player.
Jordan = The Most Dominant Perimeter Player Ever
