Default Cavs 2-Game Streak Sad and Inspiring at the Same Time

The longest streak since July 9, 2010 that we've had is 3 wins in a row. That's the sad part.

The inspiring part is that we have picked up 3 players since Christmas that literally will make our bench watchable.

Shaun Livingston is in his best spot right now since The Tear. Nobody is paying attention, but he is leading our second unit now and defending. He had 14 last night. He was picked up off the waiver wire.

I still am amazed we got Speights and Ellington AND A #1 for Leurer. It might be the move of the year. Speights had 12 and 6 last night and Ellington hit the 3 to give us the lead after being down 20. Both of them played all 12 minutes of the 4th.

We are heading for the lottery, but these 3 players have made die-hard Cavs fans feel better on a cold, snowy Saturday.

Speights and Ellington are legit bench players. Livingston has been a real pleasant surprise with his hustle and D.

I think Speights will be starting over Zeller soon. That guy's FG% is horrific for a big man

The supposed best big in the draft, Thomas Robinson, is 43.7% from the floor. Tristan was 43.9% in his rookie year.

Yes, Zeller has a low FG%, but it isn't all that uncommon for rookies, big or not.

all hail kyrie irving for making that possible

he is the only pg in the nba that could bring that lineup to a 2 game winning streak

Would maybe be a good idea for Speights to move in as a starter when he's ready. Zeller was shooting 47% from the field when Varejao was playing and he was coming off the bench.

Since being thrust into a starting role, he's shooting a woeful 36% in 17 games.

waiters has been much more aggressive, looking to get to the rim, over the last couple games. he had (i think) a career high in FTAs in utah, and he had some really nice drives aaunst boston, an again against milwaukee last night.

he just needs to stay aggressive, and try to improve his finishing at the basket.

really impressed with his play these last couple games.

Just from the two games I have seen them against the Kings, the bigs simply had no impact and Mo-Speights will help amazingly with his pick and pop ability with the two guards thats a match made in heavan. Ellington and CJ Miles out there together will help space the floor and allow for high % shots for everyone involed.

C: Mo Speight
PF: TT
SF: CJ/Gee
SG: Waiters/Ellington
PG; Irving/Waiters

Thats a really spread out floor and will be hard to cover, can they defned anyone? Probably not but can they defend anyone now? No.

don't know what's the point of this post since you just posted guys that had or has higher FG%. You're just proving my point that it's horrible for a big that's even a rookie to shoot 41%. Also Davis is and was the best big coming out of the Draft.

Oh yeah, apparently for the Cavs a 2 games winning streak is already such an unprecedented success? Its such a thread worthy topic!!!
