Seriously how many NBA players are comfortable playing in Europe? If those Euroleague teams get lottery picks, the young prospects will not enter NBA drafts.

Hey Marshon, we are trading you to Tel Aviv for a #1 pick. Is that ok with you?

The European Union would never allow the draft system, let alone the CBA.

Athens has a 20,000 seat basketball arena.

London has a 20,000 seat basketball arena.

Belgrade has a 20,000 seat basketball arena.

Madrid just announced they are building a 20,000 seat basketball arena.

So all this "there are no 20,000 seat basketball arenas in Europe" crap is definitely completely made up bullshit.

No one in the NBA wants to go to poverty stricken places where the fans make monkey sounds.

If they don't want to play in "poverty stricken places" what the hell are they doing in the USA?

The USA economy is much worse than Greece's economy. Americans are generally much poorer with a much lower standard of living than people in Greece.

The NBA plays in front of 18,000+ fans for regular season games. The Greek championship was played in front of 0 fans. It's like comparing the heavy weight championship to a back alley brawl.

The Greek basketball league is a joke. No self-respecting star would lower himself to play in such a third world league. No wonder the NBA does not even play exhibitions games there. The NBA is for the 1st world only.

I think a European conference would be possible, but there would be many problems organizing the league. For example, the distance between Istanbul and Los Angeles is 13.000 Km. It is hard to imagine two month tours without any home game, and doing these trips every week is not feasible.
