Well, they've at least figured out that OldManBe is pretty worthless as a scoring machine compared to his old self and is better used as a decoy to draw double teams to find other players open who can actually shoot at an efficient rate.

They beat 2 crappers and put their try hard panties on an OKC team that didn't see it coming.

Kobe's 58% TS is higher than any team in the league, and definitely higher than that of the Lakers. It's mathemetically better for Kobe to score.

That would be nice to see the Staples Center half full of Clippers fans and the other half full of Lakers fans. There would be no home court advantage. lol It must be nice for the Clippers and Lakers players to not have to travel far for a playoff series.

I'm thinking it is very possible for the Lakers to turn this thing around and continue to win, though it may still be a little late to make the playoffs. If Houston wins 45 games and the Lakers go 24-13, they will have finished this thing at 27-13 with 44 wins. So I find it very possible for the Lakers to finish playing like contenders but just shy 1 game of making the playoffs.

They have figured it out but they are not good enough to win it all. They are not as athletic or good as the top teams.

Also, they still have D'Antoni.

D'Antoni is not calling the shots anymore in case you didn't notice.

They still suck. 5 games under .500 and 4 out of a playoff spot. That's the mark of a bad team.

Three game winning streaks almost never happen in the NBA.

This is clearly a sign that destiny is on the Lakers' side

No way is this a knee-jerk reaction thread like the 1,600 others that have popped up since the Lakers last lost a game.

I think they have for now, but how long will they keep this up? How long will Kobe be ok with taking just 10-15 shots a game and facilitating? If they hadn't beaten OKC in the middle of this little 3-game winning streak, I think people would still be doubting them until they went on the road and strung together some wins against decent teams. The Jazz and Hornets are decent, but nothing to exactly write home about if you beat them at home; and they caught OKC at the end of a two week road trip.

However, it'd be still to say they don't look different/better right now. Their ball movement and unselfishness on offense is paying huge dividends right now, and Howard is starting to look more and more like the 4x DPOY. Last night was one of the best defensive games I've seen from him this year. If they continue to consistently play like this they'll pretty much beat all the teams they're supposed to beat (no more losses to teams like the Cavs and Raptors), and start beating some of the better teams like the Clippers, Spurs, Grizzlies, Heat, and Nuggets. And that should be enough to get them in the playoffs.

We have to wait until after the game @ Phoenix to know more if they are figuring it out. They won 3 games, all at home. Even before this 3 game winning streak they were 12-10 at home. So we already knew they were at least a .500 team at home, but you don't play 82 games at home. 5-15 on the road and they got 7 of them in a row next. If they go 5-2 at worst, then I can say they figured it out.
