Default Scoring PGs are taking too much of a bad rep

When you have a PG who passes. People go..this guy is talented, he is a pass-first PG which every team wants..Its rare to have a PG who has more assists then points...He makes people around him better, everyone enjoys playing with him..

When you have a scoring PG(No matter how good he is), people go...this guy is too short to be an SG, hes an SG in a PG body...His play hurts his teammates, he need to learn how to pass etc...

So let me ask you, answer truthfully...

Would you rather Take Russell Westbrook or Ricky Rubio?

Westbrook for me...

That's from people who don't understand the nba game. They're remembering the junior high team they played on and how important it is at that level just to get the ball across half court and into their play. Nba is about breaking down a defense by creating separation and forcing the defense to rotate.

I have nothing wrong with scoring pgs, I have a big problem with low effiency and terrible shot selection scoring point guards.

This is a horrible comparison. Rubio sucks. If you had said Rondo or CP3 vs. Westbrook, that would be a good debate. But if Westbrook played more like Kobe is currently, the Thunder would have a better record. I am not a Lakers fan at all but if Westbrook was just smarter, he could be one of the three best players in the league.
