Usually the case. Especially with the smaller markets. They try to sign these guys to BECOME max level players, because they know they can't draw anyone in via FAgency. But by the time these guys start getting to year 4 or so, you kinda know if they're gonna be the type that you can build around.

See Demarcus Cousins...he's baiting teams right now. But he's a guy that sorta like Zach Randolph isn't going to be a max level guy until he's about 28 years old and finally starts to get how to be a pro. Someone is going to be wasting money paying this guy the most on the team while you win nothing, unless you move him to a veteran team.

He'll get a lot. They can't run Z-bo and Marc into the ground. Darrell Arthur will sub in first for Z-bo, then Davis will come in for Marc and they'll run together then it will be Z-bo and Davis until Marc comes back in. Also, Darrell Arthur hasn't been the epitome of a healthy player. He might be the most important bench player but he's had weird major injuries.

Rudy isn't good enough for them to be paying him that much money. I don't see a problem with the trade. The Lakers sure could have used him though.
