You do realize that one of obama's measures is to increase the number of armed guards (and providing funding for it, one thing the NRA has glossed over) at schools?
Try and get some facts straight, at least once. This isnt an NRA thing.

really no need to spend tax money on armed gaurds because of one incident. if you were a good principle, you would take it upon yourself to protect your employees and your students, just like any business owner would protect his business and employees.

The stocks aren't scary. The fact they can carry 30 rounds is.

What's happening in US is really sad from an outsider POV, your love for guns is so deep you can't even let go of one type of weapon that its only use is to kill a lot of people in a very short span of time. I honestly can't understand how people think an armed guard can stop a maniac armed to teeth with a death wish for all and himself. Unless you realize regular mass shootings happen in direct relation with the gun loving culture of yours, you will never be able to confront the problem.

Your ignorance is really sad from any perspective. There are millions and millions of AR15s in the US that are used legally every single day, very few have ever been used to commit a crime. Only 2.5% of gun murders are committed with rifles. The idea that an AR15's "only purpose" is to "kill a lot of people" is just pure bullshit.

You are more likely to die from diarrhea, the flu, drowning in a swimming pool, a tornado and a million other things than you are to get killed in a mass shooting.

here is the point. Why are assault weapons chosen by these psychos living out their tough guy fantasies, rather than a simple hunting rifle? Because of image. They think they look tough or cool carrying something that looks like a military weapon. There is no doubt that much of the appeal of guns is the imagery associated with it (look at most of the which gun should I buy threads on this site, for example). Now, I really think this ban is the least of the proposals moving forward (though I do think a clip size limit is a good idea), but there is no doubt that the image of these guns plays a part in their use by these psychos.
