Haha, I posted something like this on the first or second page and I really think it's true for some people.
When there was a (smart) black QB it used to get blown up by the media when I used to watch football, because it was an still is some kind of an abnormality.
Blacks are usually uber athletic quarterbacks, but usually pretty stupid and can't think the game out.
Only one black QB has ever lead his team to a super bowl victory, and he did it as basically being a game management QB as opposed to a playmaker or superstar caliber player.
I'm white, and basketball is my favorite game. I embarrass athletic blacks on the daily at the gym, too. Being the minority in basketball, slept on, underdog and overcoming expectations is the best. Makes me more unique, too. Graviton is on point with fandom, and the racial undertones of why people like one sport over the other.
There were some white people working for the gym, when basketball was on TV/ESPN they turned away, but were glued for baseball. I asked one of them about it once, this is how it went...
Me: So you like basketball?
Guy: No, I HATE it! <- He really emphasized on "hate"
Me: Why?
Guy: "umcomfortable silence"
...
...
Guy: Because it's boring...
That's from a guy watching baseball lol. The fact he said boring was BS, from his face and body language I could tell he was a closet racist. He had to THINK why he hated basketball, then he came up with a one liner that applies more to baseball than basketball. He himself didn't know why he hated bball.

How can anyone dare say baseball is more entertaining than NBA basketball. They will try and get around it and say they like college better.

NBA ball is too young, too black, too hip hop for them. In football you have tattooed, ghetto blacks. But their face is covered by a mask, and there is a sense of like you said them being a black army run by white coaches, or white quarterbacks.
DAAAAMN! Just tuned in, wtf 49ers getting destroyed? My brother's football savvy friend said 49ers got this, that Ravens didn't have the defense or players to beat us. WTF happened? This was supposed to be easy win.
I live in SF, so I guess I won't see riots and burned cars due to a win. Funny losses are taken better.

By this same logic couldn't you consider a black person who doesn't like hockey a racist?
