I've seen her doing stuff live 4 times(the grammys with Prince, a Tina Turner tribute, some clips from a gig and today). She never took the crowd and her energy always went to waste. Energy on the stage is not about dancing, its about giving something of your soul to the audience and she can't rely do that, because I think her music doesn't root from her soul. As you said she's just well trained.
