from my layman's meanderings in astronomy and astrophysics, time is a dimension that cannot exist without the three physical dimensions as substance to act upon. do you grok?

and if a big bang occurred, time and space ballooned out right with the expansion. there was no 'empty space' and 'never-ending clock' just waiting to be used.

so "time and infinity" and "always" are meaningless terms in the larger sense. although from our ordinary position, they certainly make much sense. beyond that? meaningless, apparently.

do you hear me, major tom?

You're assuming that there was at one point absolutely nothing. So basically when there was no physical matter(or even empty space) there was also no such thing as time. Right?

Correct me if im wrong but the Big bang theory doesn't state that it created matter, but that it is the reason for its expansion. Did the Big bang create matter or did matter create the Big bang(according to the theory)? Can matter exist without space?

I shouldve put "conclude" or "believe" instead of "agree". Or put (most likely) in front of "on"

God created the world 2000 years ago silly.

But in all seriousness it's a question that we aren't capable of comprehending. So much unknowns and so much shit we don't know(we barely scratch the surface...)

To answer your question I don't think we are on a timeline of infinity as there must be a start everywhere, or that's what my human mind wants me to think.. But if that's the case how did it get created? And how did that get created? Does that substitute for god? It's like the chicken or the egg question.

The bible doesn't say this for the record, nor does it give enough info to come to that conclusion

I agree in a way. But I think given long thought you come to the conclusion that something has most likely always existed(that existence didn't have a beginning)

Whatever happened wouldn't sit well with the mind if we found out

Pretty much. Even if we somehow got the answer of life/universe/etc I don't think we would be able to understand it. That's how complex it all is.

It's so bizarre if you sit and think about it, almost drives you crazy in a sense.

This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all of our arms collectively. But if sweetness can win, and it can, then I'll be here tomorrow to high five you yesterday, my friend. Peace

For sure. I think there always was "something," and there always will be something. Our universe is probably just a tiny part of the whole cookie.

Shit doesn't make sense though. Enough to drive you crazy, for sure..
