That's a lot of dough. 100 Million combined for Wallace and Ellerbe.
Those numbers are hardly important until you look at the guaranteed and the way the contract is structured. All that matters with any NFL current contract is the guaranteed money, nothing more. They will restructure in year three/four without a doubt just like with most teams when the cap numbers are insane, watch.

I understand that. But when players restructure their contracts most of the time they are not taking a pay cut, they are just shifting money from base salary into a bonus so it helps with the cap, but they still get the same amount of money. Not sure yet how much guaranteed money Ellerbe's deal has but Wallace get's 30 Million guaranteed.

Regardless, the Dolphins are showing they are willing to spend cash to improve, and their team looks a lot better now.

all the arguing I did in here, pointing out how he was overrated, with GoBB and SP and a couple others...feels good man

Aso had a year just a very small notch below Revis in 2011....then apparently had a bad year this year.

Overall I don't know how you could qualify that as one of the three FA busts of the past decade.

Anybody seen how much Indy paid Gosder Cherilus? All I can find is that it's a 5 year deal.

Before all these signings from the phins started they had 31 mil and wallace is a 7-8 mil cap space hit according to the reports and ellerbe is 3 mil. They still have some money to spend. (also released dansby)

It looks like the Packers are the favorites to sign Steven Jackson.

He was anything but awful in 2011. I studied and tracked both of them for every game in 2011. You can have your opinion on that matter, but I have actual first hand knowledge of both players and how they performed that year. Revis was slightly better due to giving up two or three less touchdows, but Nnamdi gave up less yards.

If Revis' season was a 10, Nnamdi was a 9.5

This year I can't say anything other than taking someone elses opinion on the matter as fact. I didn't track him at all.

But strictly talking about 2011....he was pretty much as shut down as you could realisically get in todays NFL.

Chris Gamble announced his retirement after being cut by the Panthers.

It's stunning news. Gamble is only 30 years old and is still an above average Cornerback.
