If the Lakers weren't injured in 2008, Celtics would have won 0. and would still be as irrelevant as they'd been the previous 2 decades.

it's one thing to have a guy miss a couple games, but to say the Lakers have 4 hall of famers and they're still losing, when because of injuries those 4 hall of famers have only played in a handful of games together, is just plain ridiculous.

so glad the celtics got the majority of their championships before our parents were even watching the NBA. If you're going to count the ancient games, you must also count the Lakers ancient titles, making it 17-16... which give us another decade and the Celtics will truly be in the rear view once and for all.

Okay forget 09-10. Lakers in 2000-2002 alone won more championships than the Celtics did the last 28 years. The Lakers in 2000-2002 alone REPEATED more times than the Celtics won single championships the last 25 years.

Yet another way to describe this Lakers season.

lol what?

KG is Celtics best player before suffering a season ending injury and with that, Celtics hopes of repeat were shattered and Lakers lucked out.

Forget Kobe, Lakers wouldn't get past 1st round without their 2nd best player!

Anyway got bored of this discussion..so I will stop here

From what I've read, the former is a lot better than the latter.

Everyone has to join fanbase sometimes and a player influences that decision. Bryant has the same effect, so does James too. Chicago has what... the 3rd highest population among NBA teams ? Not much to bandwagon, I think those fans for the most part were from Chicago... if it's global, Michael Jordan just had that much star power.

Rose fans I think are still here and probably are in the wrong at times, but certainly not worse than Laker and Celtic fans, IMO. Not saying that there are bad Laker or Celtic fans.

The Celtics were the better team than even a healthy Lakers team in 2008. And if you want to play the "if they weren't injured card" Celtic fans can say if Garnett wasn't hurt in 2009, the Boston repeats.

1. same franchise, same name.

2. I actually did watch all the Lakers titles. no one's ever too old to be annoyed by stupidity.... besides I have nothing to do while waiting for my video effects to render at work.
