is anybody arguing that dorner isnt crazy?? the people i see that are sticking up for dorner are not saying he is a sane and rational person, they are saying the LAPD is more fvcked in the head and out of control than dorner is.

He is obviously crazy and he even admitted about his depression. But this is not just some psychotic people who is shooting at random people. He plotted this with vengeance and he even stated his specific targets.

But LAPD has been corrupt and nothing had been done about it. Just those perfect example, mistaken identities. Just shoot now, ask questions later.

Yeah, it was his attorney. He killed his attorney's daughter.

He was honorably discharged from the Navy. However, he says that the LAPD ruined his Navy career for him because he lost his security clearance, so perhaps his advancement was blocked. Perhaps the navy can fire you but also give you an honorable discharge.

That's not cool and he should go to jail for that shit. Nobody here has condoned him killing her or any attack on any other civilian.

It's 'stupid' but I wouldn't necessarily say it's 'crazy'. It's rage and anger, vengeance and retribution. I don't agree with him, but I understand the reasoning behind it.

That still doesn't justify that police shooting to kill at sight.

I don't support his actions but I believed his story than the corrupt LAPD version.

LAPD is saying that he appealed his case to the highest level and was reviewed by someone outside LAPD.

That case was thoroughly adjudicated. It went through several levels of review up to the point where even a civilian representative listened to the entirety of the case.

OK, you can skip my ramblings and read a real forensic psychologist here.

He says this appears to be "a classic case of workplace violence"....

Dietz says the manifesto indicates both feelings of persecution along with a sense of grandiosity, and that often these feelings go hand in hand. It is likely, says Dietz, that Dorner's feelings of grandiosity lead him to believe he can outsmart the law enforcement agencies now on a massive manhunt in an effort to apprehend him.......

Dietz believes Dorner felt his "good name was besmirched" when he was fired by the LAPD. In people with a high level of narcissism, perceived insults can cause deep wounds that may never fully heal. Dr. Dietz says among the murderers he's evaluated there's a striking level of "grudge holding" and "injustice collecting". Dorner's manifesto indicates he's not only collecting the injustices he suffered personally, but also historical injustices including the Rodney King beating. By taking on historical injustices as his own, Dorner can justify whatever action he deems necessary to avenge them.......

Dr. Dietz would welcome the opportunity to talk to Dorner and evaluate him. He believes that Dorner might respond and cooperate with an investigation if he were addressed with the level of respect he feels he deserves.

Narciscissm was the trait I was trying to get at when he said he was more dangerous than Al Qaeda

Well he is more dangerous.

He's better trained than they are.

Narcissist or not, he aint lying.

Not only is he better trained than Al Queda is, he knows what the LAPD will do, how they train, how they'll respond. He probably has equipment to listen in on them, know they're location and next move. Al Queda can't really claim the same. They weren't trained like he has been, they didn't fight in the US military and know their strategies and plan of action. He is also fighting them (LAPD) in their home turf and they're scared shitless (as we've seen), and it also happens to be HIS home turf as well.

So yeah, he may have a very legit case.
