dunno if thats really true, but its certainly true that the lakers didnt "build" around him. They tried to add him as a complementary piece, which he has never been. Add that to his relatively low bball iq/skillset/game based on dominance on strength and athleticism as well as his injury and its no wonder it hasnt worked out well.
