I love Metta's heart, defense and consistant hustle. I don't blame him for our woes this year but I think it's time for him to go. At this point he's hurting us more han he's helping us.

The issue is we excused him because at least defensively he had some juice left. Dude is dry and often gets scorched by opposing players. The guy is done IMO.
He should NOT be shooting ever unless he has a clear pass for an easy layup.

Metta doesn't have the lateral quickness he once had but that left hand has gotten a lot of deflections and steals for us. Nobody can stop the guys you mentioned but Metta makes these guys work for what they get. in 2010 I felt that his defense made up for his antics and his confusion on offense. Now he's lost a couple steps.
Also, the dude gets in modes where he'll get a rebound and instead of giving the rock to Nash or Kobe he dribbles it up the court, holds it and then misses a difficult shot. He fades to the the left on his shots for no reason. He often passes up open shots to take awkward, contested shots. The dude throws our offense out of wack. We could get away with it when he was the only weak offensive link. With Howard on the floor there isn't room for that anymore.
