I potentially am, he's probably my third favorite star player after Wade & CP3. Some Lakers fans take the schtick too far with outlandish disparagement, but he's definitely not playing as well as he should/can. His rebounding is more or less there (given the injury situation) and his offense isn't far off from what I expected from him in D'Antoni's system, but his defense is nowhere near where it should be (he's been a fringe top 10 big defensively, in terms of locking down the interior; his man defense has been serviceable but not what you'd like; he doesn't get back fast enough in transition, which brings up the problem of his lack of effort; I haven't been paying close enough attention to his P&R defense but it seems like it's lacking).

Even if he wasn't sucking this season, its still weird nobody has him as his clear cut favorite player, not even magic fans back in the day
reason being he isn't looked much as a competitor nor does he have any appealing move, dudes about flexing muscles, dunking alone/and blocking-goaltending...

Eh, I don't think he's a very likable guy...bigs in general aren't well-received by fans (ever head the expression 'seven-footers don't sell sneakers'), but he is a bit of a tool.
Shaqattack has been a big Dwight supporter and watched the Magic alot. We've debated his impact and general ranking amongst bigs (past and present) for a couple years at least. Differing opinions, naturally.
Personally, I think Dwight has been overrated in the grand scheme (weak crop of bigs make him stand out) and benefited highly from playing side-by-side with Rashard Lewis for 3.5 years during the Magic's most successful seasons.
He's got no jump shot, weak attitude and low basketball IQ, turnover and foul prone, robotic moves, and so on. Defensively he's capable of being a beast, there's no denying that. His DPOY awards were deserved. But it's daunting to think about what he'll be at 30+ years old, which is not that long from now (so much of his game relies on explosiveness, lift, and athleticism).

Well he did drag their franchise through mud for the past 1-2 years, in terms of re-signing him. Then Leaving Orlando for the Los Angeles, ala Shaq, had to have stung. (granted Howard had no choice in the trade). I can see how he might have burned some bridges with Magic fans.
I'm a fan, but not a huge fan. But, I do think he is getting trashed unfairly. So what if he needs to be coddled in order to perform? LeBron is the best player alive and he arguably required/ requires more coddling than any player ever.
When the team was conceived, everyone forgot two things:
1. Kobe was never going to adapt his game for anyone
2. Kobe is a sociopath
Kobe being a sociopath isn't necessarily a bad thing-- it's part of what makes him great (Jordan was the biggest sociopath who ever played). But, it's a bad personality combination with a new-school, happy-go-lucky character like Howard.
Kobe not adapting is another matter entirely though. And the two factors together mean that the Lakers are just a very bad fit for Howard.
I hope for his sake that he can find his way to New Jersey or somewhere where he'll be happy. Then you'll see the old Dwight Howard return.
