Quick Help! Seeking someone with medical knowledge
So I've been sick for the last few days, but starting yesterday my eyes have been very irritated. Yesterday after practice my eyes were so uncomfortable than when I rushed into the bathroom I saw a tiny mucus bubble forming in my left eye. By the time I got home it spread to my right eye. I had to constantly use a towel to clean out the mucus or it would starting being unbearable. This kept me up to half past 3 in the morning until I finally used some eyedrops and forced myself to go to sleep.
I woke up around 20 minutes ago to feel that I couldn't open my eyes. They were literally glued shut with eyecrust. I was both horrified and disgusted at this. I quicky used a towel, pried my left eye open and cleaned all the crust out and then repeated on my right. Afterwards, I got some eyedrop and put one in each eye.
Then I researched this online and I found out I had a case of pinkeye, or conjunvitus. THis particular strain of pinkeye is called bacterial pinkeye as my symptoms match up almost perfectly with bacterial pinkeye. I breathed a sigh of relief when I read that it is normally harmless and clears up within 3-4 days without antibiotics. But I have a problem, my school team has our last game of the season and it's been pushed up and hour because there's a dance afterwards so I only have about 5 hours. Besides going to walgreens and gettings some pinkeye drops which I'm about to do, what other things would you guys suggest to clear this up quickly?
