Default Sources Say That LBJ's HS Coach Could Be in Running for Cavs Job

Cavs have won 7 of 10, and the front office apparently is in love with Byron Scott, but there have been some local rumblings about Keith Dambrodt and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Keith is a local legend - current coach of the University of Akron Zips (longest win streak in the nation) - and Lebron's first coach at St. V High School. Tony Rizzo first reported it on WKNR that Bryon Scott was on thin ice and that luring LBJ back to C-Town included getting his first coach and successful college coach to jump to the NBA.

Dambrodt was working out LBJ at the Akron Jewish Center when LBJ was in the 5th grade and maintains a close relationship. Dru Joyce took over when Dambrodt became an asst at Akron U.

Many of you have not heard of Dambrodt, but this guy is one thing - a basketball coach.

Another interesting story that has made its way to the airwaves in Northeast, Ohio.

This has to be the dumbest rumor during a decade of really stupid rumors in Cleveland. Laughable at best.

anyone with ANY knowledge of his history with LeBron would know that LeBron felt wronged when he left for University of Akron.

Cleveland journalists are really running with this, they are only setting themselves up for another $hit storm/disappointment

there has been 0 indication whatsoever of any problems between grant, gilbert, and scott. Everybody has been on board with one another, and furthermore, Kyrie and Byron have a great relationship.

I realize all of this.

Heard this report today and posted it.

Cavs have won 7 of 10 and things are better. Austin Carr, who has been part of the NBA for over 40 years, says he's never seen a team "take to a coach" like this group and Byron.

Despite that, rumors still occur.

i hope its false. I don't want the cavs turning into the browns and start rebooting every 2 years.
