Brook Lopez can be argued to be the number one option for the Nets. It's between him or Joe Johnson. In the last two games he had the final shot and was the only one who shot in the last minute. Other than that, we are in the point guard era. Dwight can average 25/15 in the right situation but playing with Kobe is the worst thing to ever happen to his career.
Being the best player on a bottom-feeding team, you're not truly established as a #1 option yet.
Monroe, Cousins, Pek, all have potential but they're really not established #1 option yet in my opinion.
Gotta be in the playoff or playoff hunt.
Bynum would have been that guy but he's out since forever.
What is the point in making this thread if your just going to make up these stupid rules when someone proves you wrong? Correct, there are no contenders who's first option is a center, but there are certainly teams who's first option is their center.
