Wade is the better player in his prime and overall. No offense to Iverson, who is a hall-of-famer.

The main proven flaw with Iverson was that he was played at 2 but couldn't defend twos for much of his career, especially under Larry Brown. Wade didn't have that flaw and for that reason I'd take Wade. But the gap that flaw creates is small and people should have more respect for what AI did at his peak.
He played with Eric Snow and Snow defended a lot of 2's so that was of no consequence.
He wasn't a great defender because he didn't want to be. There were times where he looked like one tho.
there is very little argument for iverson as a player, career and peak.
as a teammate, its isnt even close. wade is a much easier teammate to play with because he takes high percentage shots, plays within the system and moves the ball. iverson is historically regarded as one of the biggest chucker in NBA history. he won a scoring title shooting under 40% for christs sake.
If I was a GM and I wanted to start a team and I had to pick between D-Wade or Iverson, I would pick Wade. Mainly because of the versatility that he brings to the table. Iverson is a great player but limited. Wade is that swish army knife and I would want to build around a player like that.
