Most in here are assuming the OP means the 2000's decade (2000-2009) or the 2000's millennium (2000-2999), but I choose to interpret it as the century (2000-2099).

Common sense says it's the latter. Since the decade of 2000-2009 has already passed, it obviously can't be the former.
