Re: Magic Johnson tweets LeBron's performances can't match MJ's?
He mentioned Jordans 11 game 30 point triple double'ish stretch.
But then he will flip-flop again when he finds out Lebron did a 33 point triple double'ish stretch in even more games in february 2010 (last Cavs season)...
But then he will flip-flop again... because im sure he once heard about Oscar Robertson..

Honestly though, and I'm not just saying this because I'm a Laker fan. MJ > Kobe, no arguments here.
When Kobe gets hot, he has to be just about the most unstoppable perimeter player the game has seen. He has been able to string together some really impressive performances, and in that sense, he is sort of a standard.
He isn't nearly as consistent as MJ, but when he gets hot for a string of games, he's damn impressive.

Jordan's best stretch of 5, 10, or 15 games is better than Kobe's.

no when kobe gets hot he's the best player of all time. thats probably the main reason why most educated bball fans have him in the top 2-5 all time.

Most people have him in the 6-8 spot. I've never heard of anyone mention him as a number 2, 3 or 4 candidate. Occasionally someone tries to fit him into the number five spot, but even spots 6-7 are still competitive.
Re: Magic Johnson tweets LeBron's performances can't match MJ's?
He claimed the other night that LeBron's current stretch is the best of all-time... but I think he may have done some research since then and realized that perhaps it isn't.
