I was highly disappointed in Rubio. The delivery was painful. Especially that point where he reached for his water. LOL @ Obama proposing to raise the minimum wage to 9.00.

Dude, obviously a job shouldn't exist if you can't raise two kids on the salary.

Some businesses might only afford to pay 8.00. So they either have to take a loss or not hire. Most times they wont hire, as a result, the minimum wage actually destroys jobs and hurts the economy. It's about 3% of Americans work for minimum wage. The government simply can not and should not be interfering and trying to interject into areas it has no knowledge in. Any time government mandates something it costs businesses, investors, employees and consumers.
Only the free market and free exchange of labor, services, products and capital can determine wages for any particular job.

Obama made some interesting proposals like universal pre-k schooling. It was nice to see him get a little ambitious and try to start some real policy discussions.

As usual the SOTU was little more than hot air blown up our collective asses. The responses were equally vapid. The truth of the matter is that our economy stalled and even contracted in the 4th quarter of last year and our government is completely clueless about how to deal with that. We're bringing our troops home and relying instead on a drone war that is ethically suspect to say the least, and downright criminal and unconstitutional when used against our own citizens. Yet the only thing people focus on is Rubio taking a drink of water.
