Carter did a similar dunk in 2000 slam dunk contest. White's way better and yet only got 45.

I think 45 is a good call. But by the scoring standards they give, it's more like a 48/49. Half the dunks that gets 48-50 should be more like 45 or so. 50 is perfect. 50 is unprecedented, never-before-seen. Showtime.

What did Clyde give him, he was the only dunker on the panel?

He gave him a 9....of course...common sense if he got a 45....9 x 5 = 45

There is more than 1 way to get a combination of 45.

Kizzle isn't the stupid one in this case.

I would have given it a 48.

But, I understand ANY he only got a 45...when you do a free throw line dunk, regardless of the type of dunk, it's "expected" that you jump from behind, or at least somewhat ON the line. James was inches plus a whole foot over the line.

Still a tough dunk that I don't think anyone else in the field could have done and what really sucks is he got high and far enough that I believe had he jumped a little further back, he still would have made the dunk.

I think it kinda showed that nerves got to him. The way he was blowing his dribble, ball flying out of his hands, and how badly he mistimed this jump from the free throw line.

Still should have been a 50... His and Greens first dunks
Shame they got nervous/are retarded...

Next year i hope they change it..

3 dunks per first round, top 2 scores count
no east west bullshit, best 2 dunkers go through
panel of judges must all be previous winners etc.

How hard is that NBA. Really

The problem wasn't nerves. The problem was the amount of wait time in between dunks. Still not understanding how no one has noticed that the longer the NBA and TV partners make the dunkers wait in between dunks the worse the contest get.

Yeah, but unless the judges coordinate themselves, they won't know which one or two of them is going to give the 9. So they'll all just give 10's and it'll end up as a 50.
