Signing a PG like Delonte West (albeit a head case), Donald Sloan, or Scott Machado would make more sense given that Rondo & Barbosa (who is capable of playing PG) are out for the year.

Terrance Williams isn't a natural PG. To be honest, he is a guy with superstar potential that nobody has given a chance similar to Jeremy Lin last year.
He is a great athlete with good passing ability ala LeBron. If he gets good minutes for once he can show what hes made of.
He is also a good defender.
I think Doc made it clear he doesn't want a classic PG necessarily...
