Default Google Chrome/Browsing problem...

We have some tech savvy people here, so I figure I'd post here.
I can't seem to access many sites after clearing my cache and browsing data just recently. Basically things like ESPN website, facebook, etc, I can't visit at all for some reason.

Some website work fine, others not. I've tried on other browsers as well, and the same applies. No idea what the problem could be. I've tried going to other forums to get help, but some won't load due to the problem.

Anyone experience something like this before?

Facebook sometimes doesn't load at all. Just stays stuck on a white screen. And if it does, none of the images load or anything. Just a white screen with generic fonts... Like a page that didn't load properly and only has writing, etc.

When on the white screen, it says "waiting for static.ak.fbcdn.net"...

Seems to be the case with most of the pages I can't visit. All have the static in the urls that need to load.

Have you tried visiting these same pages on another browser/computer to scope the problem?

When did you last have success with attempting to access these same pages?

Yesterday I'd say. Right before I cleared the browsing data and cache, and all that. That had been left uncleared for a good month and a half, so I figured to clear it to make it run a little quicker and smoother.

Well, yes and no. Cached webpages make them load faster. Have you downloaded anything between the last successful page visits and now?

Nothing. I've been out of the house most of the time. Couldn't have downloaded anything in the time.

Where are you located, what type of connection do you have and does anyone else have access to your pc?

Thanks sixerfan, but the problem seems to have resolved itself... after several reboots and tinkering with certain system settings...
