Potential? Yes.. But so did VC. Ppl in this thread are seriously underrating KD though, keep in mind that Kevin is only 24.

If Durant won the championship last year, would he have potential to be GOAT?
i mean he was fighting a loosing battle for **** sake against the ****ing heatles and the nba's golden boy who had failed his whole career. so getting that close to winning a ship at 24 against Lebron of coarse he has the potential to be GOAT

YOU ****ING LEBRON STANS!

This.

If Durant already had a ring his stans would be out of control already. ALthough Westbrook seems to generate far more stans. If Durant got like 5 titles all with OKC and like 5+ scoring titles and a couple MVPs, he'd be in the conversation. Plus 7+ years scoring 30+/ thts probably never been done before except maybe Wilt. That would be a realstrong resume

Highly unlikely, but if LBJ had started his career like this, he'd have probably aready been higher all time

While there's some incredibly ignorant stuff being posted, the answer is no. He's got top 20-25 all-time potential, and top 15 with the right number of accolades and rings.

yah the guy who made oklahoma contenders in just his 3rd year while lebron 6 is not an impact player. LMAO your logic is laughable. Only idiots believe that 32 8 8 jordan is better than 30 6 4 jordan when the win/loss speaks for itself. Just like idiots believing oscar is better than jordan because of the triple doubles. Durant is just better than lebron. Just look at their careers before lebron cheated.

OT: Even though raw per-game averages mean nothing, I'd really like to see KD average double-digit rebounds for his career. He'll have to do it for one season first which is no given, but I think he has the potential to get up ~12 consistently (given his physical tools and the fact that neither Perk nor Ibaka is a dominant rebounder).

Dude you are a KD hater I dare say, the lengths you go through to underrate KD as an OKC fan...

whats up with the durant hate?

ofc he got goat potential. One of the most efficient scorers EVER. If not the most efficient.

and i dont see a reason why he cant improve. As he has done every season of his still young career

will he become the goat? No, I dont think so. Can he become the goat? OFC

James went to the finals in 2007 on a much more impressive run and was a much better player at 24 than Durant is at 24.

yah in the weak east. Put his team in the west and he'll not make the playoffs. Durant first 6 years is better than lebron in his first 6 years.

James first 6 years

27.5 ppg / 6.7 apg / 7 rpg / 1.8 spg / 0.9 bpg / 3.3 TOPG / 47.1% FG

Durant first 6 years

26.6 ppg / 3.0 apg / 6.7 rpg / 1.3 spg / 1.0 bpg / 3.2 TOPG / 47.4% FG

Plus James was an elite defender in his 6th year, Durant is not.

This completely ignores the teams themselves. Durant has Westbrook, Ibaka, and decent role players around him who take away from his stats. Lebron had Mo Williams = he can stack the sheets.

I can make the exact opposite argument. That Durant has a second option to open things up for him.

Have Lebron's stats gotten any worse since coming to miami? NO.
