Default Let's say Dwight does re-sign with the Lakers, would Kobe give up being 1st option?

Purely hypothetical saying Dwight would re-sign, but if he did, would Kobe go the Way of Wade and give the leadership to Dwight? Of would Kobe continue to never back down to anyone?

there's a big difference between deferring on offense to Lebron and deferring to Dwight.

Pretty much. One thing Kobe can do, though, is make (more) of a concerted effort into getting him involved. I'm not talking about force-feeding him either, BUT actually looking to create for the guy, especially in 4th quarters.

He doesn't want to be created for. He sets piss poor picks and instead of rolling to the rim he tries to front and get post position. Steve Nash was his PG this year for god's sake....Pau Gasol throwing lobs for him at the elbow.

Dwight does not have the offensive capability to be a #1 option. Dwight and Kobe can certainly work to be on the same page with each other and work off/help each other, but saying Dwight, the offense goes through you, would be a ridiculous mistake. Dwight finished the year playing the way he should. Aggressive on the boards, great defense and opportunistic on offense.

What option was Dwight in Orlando?

Let's pretend that Dwight does re-sign with the Lakers, I don't think Kobe would have a problem playing second fiddle, if Dwight came back with a winning attitude. If not, Kobe would still dominate....and I don't have a problem with that.

We kind of need to see how Kobe looks coming back from that injury before assuming he will still be the #1 option.

Let's get something straight too. It would take some superhuman shit ffor Kobe to come back , stay healthy and sustain a high level of performance.

Do you watch ball games? Dwight isn't good offensively offensively to be number one option.

Why would he? Dwight has no offensive game besides dunking, and you want one of the most skilled players ever to defer to him?

Don't understand why he would defer to an inferior player.
