Default Crawford to Boston proof that NBA may be fixed?

Really.. come on now. No GM/owner would ever take Leandro Barbosa, who currently does not have an attached ACL, for a young scoring prospect like Crawford.

Who cares? Smith is leaving Atlanta and Dwight is resigning w/ the Lakers - and nothing about it is "fixed".

That's also another thing. I just can't see how someone who is suppose to be a business man does something like this. Only way I could see these trades could go down is if they were forced.

Wait did you just really just use trading Jordan Crawford as evidence that the league is fixed? Really? Crawford may be young but he was the 27th pick in a draft that was not that great and his team really had no place for him now that Wall is healthy and Beal is producing.

I don't see the big deal at all.

I hate when people say this without explaining the circumstances. The Lakers got Pau Gasol because the Grizz didn't feel a good team could be built around him. They were tired of paying a player over $15 mil a year without winning a single playoff game for them and the coach in Memphis (a D'Antoni disciple) didn't think Gasol fit in his system.

Additionally besides Kwame's expiring contract the Grizz also got the 19th pick in the previous draft (Javaris Crittendon) who looked good at the time, and Marc Gasol who was in the middle of a season where he was named his league's (ACB) MVP and has grown into an all-star, along with 2 future 1st round draft picks.

and Kwame's contract was the largest expirer that year. And Memphis was looking for cap relief.

We had him and gave him away, when we could have used him.
He's the same guy now that he was then.
And how he acted with Washington are the reasons why we dumped him.

He got traded because they hated him.

Boston is desperate for young players to develop. And KG, Pierce and Rondo will yell at guys who don't play the right way. Washington's locker room didn't have that. Atlanta's locker room did, but was it worth the effort? For us, no. For the Celtics who are real old and want to push one last time with the old guys, it may be worth taking a flyer. Maybe they hope getting him in Boston will do to Crawford what Denver did for McGee, and New Jersey did for Blatche.

This is the last of the Fab 5 to head out of town (Wall is staying); Young, McGee, Blatche, Crawford.

Don't get me started on how Perry Jones fell down to the Thunder and Sullinger to the Celtics.

Also Marc Gasol was included in that deal.
No one today would trade Marc for Pau, since the younger one is entering his prime as an All-Star caliber player and Pau is on the decline.

It's the not the fault of the Thunder and Celtics that teams had their injury issues as red flags.
