For the first time have finished the season with a winning road record. That's a big step for a team looking to get to the next level. Unless you're the Bucks who go .500 anywhere they play. I was critical of the team coming into the season because of some awful contracts we picked up, but I must say so far Brooklyn has had a great season.
For a first year in Brooklyn, I'd say we played up to our expectations. There was a lot of up and downs (and I mean a lot) but in the end I'm just happy the Nets are a winning team again. Its been rough the last 5 or so seasons. Even if we get bounced by the Heat in the second round I'd say it was a successful inaugural season for the Brooklyn Nets.
The problem with Brooklyn is they are a good team, but not a legitimate title contending team. They don't have much room to make moves with the contracts they have to take them to the next level they need to be to contend.

They didn't have a winning road record when they went to the finals that year??
Yeah, we were a pretty bad road team under Byron Scott, but I like that team. Once Lawrence Frank took over we were no longer a good home team anymore, it hurts more to lose games at home than in road.
