With Butler's emergence, Artest can be deemed as simply an expirer who can spend most of his day rotting on the bench until situations seem fit (a body to throw at Lebron and other troublesome wing players in the playoffs).

Also, as a Bulls fan, you should understand that if you expect a team to take that poison pill of contract your team's organization allocated to Boozer in 2010, then they will have to give up something of value in exchange. Considering that they'd be receiving Gasol, who would be the best player on your roster aside from Rose, I think its an exchange that offers more benefits than repercussions.

My favorite Bulls/Lakers trade would be...

Howard, Meeks, Jamison
Deng, Noah

I realize there is a sign-and-trade element involved, but I think that trade would help both rosters.

Bulls get another potential superstar in Howard (which they will need to contend with the Heat) while also adding shooters (another huge need) in Meeks and Jamison.

Lakers keep Pau, and trade away a potential franchise player, so maybe not something they would consider, BUT Pau and Noah would fit well, and Noah is an all-star player in his own right, while Deng fills a huge need for the Lakers as well.
