Default Doug Collins, is he calling it?

http://nba.si.com/2013/02/27/doug-co...ers-post-game/

See his postgame rant video. its kinda sad, hes coached his ass off but the Sixers arent just responding. Sure they have injuries and may have traded away the wrong peices but It looks like Doug is on his way out because history shows that hes never lasted more than 3 years at any coaching tenure in the NBA

If Collins leaves they'll be garbage again.

totally unfair if he gets canned. they were very solid last year and would be much better if they had a healthy bynum all year.

Yeah but they've had injury problems and Bynum isn't playing. They started the season great and they'd still be okay right now. I mean they'll be Raptors bad if Collins leaves.

Collins' skill level as a coach is average, but his effort and preparation is great.

It's sad to see his disciplined style wear out with a young team.

I'm sure the team feels bad, but they don't have a reason to win. Their better players aren't playing for a contract or anything. They just don't care.

I didn't see that. He seemed straight to me. He's just frustrated that injuries and lack of motivation might cost him his job.

His team is underachieving. He was keeping it real in that interview.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't saying it's his fault. Yeah they've had injury issues which is big for a team like them. Collins is a good coach, but this team just isn't putting in the effort.

Losing Bynum is HUGE. they shouldve tanked early on if they knew he was gonna be out all year.

tank the rest of the year ,grab a good pick, and bring it back strong next year.

Sometimes your predictions are right and sometimes wrong. I got this one right.

Most analysts had 76ers as a Top 4 team in East. I said 76ers would struggle and either get an 8th seed or maybe miss the playoffs....I felt that way even assuming Bynum is healthy.

Why? Because they lost their best 3 experienced players in Iggy, Brand, and Williams. Did everyone think the "young kids" would get BETTER losing those 3? Seemed logical they would take some steps back before they learn how to win again.....

Sure enough, here we are.

Haven't looked at standings lately?

Toronto 23 34 0.404 19.0 13-18 3-8 15-15 8-19 6-4 L 1
Philadelphia 22 33 0.400 19.0 13-18 6-7 16-15 6-18 3-7 L 6

They are Raptors bad already.

They got rid of Vucevic, which hasn't turned out well.
Collins has a record of being a horrible in personnel decisions.

When he was in Washington, he turned down trading the no. 1 pick (where they drafted Kwame Brown) for Elton Brand, who was an All-Star level player at that point. And they could have drafted Pau Gasol instead, even if they hadn't traded away the pick.

In Washington, they also traded Rip Hamilton for Jerry Stackhouse.

Bynum is going to get a max deal for 4 years, say 60 million. If the Sixers don't want to guarantee that full amount, then some other team will (maybe the Hawks).
