This board is a board of bandwagoners. Peja is now supposed to be taking the Vets. minimum because he had 1 bad year in which he wasn't settled anyway and had a knee problem. Funny 3 years ago he finished 2nd in MVP voting behind Garnett and he hasn't become a worse player. Once his situation is settled, he'll get back to form.
In classic ISH style, once a player has a bad year or is being talked about in bad light, the whole board joins the parade. Think about Walker being called a scrub, everyone saying Vince was done and now this. Form opinions of your own, don't go by what people say on this board. Most of these folks never watch any games. All they do is look at the boxscore and run their mouths or their fingers across the keyboard.
i'm a pacer fan and i say let him go. he didn't wow me any other than being able to shoot 3's. heck, he was hurt 1/2 the time anyway. if they do sign him, they better not give him more than 3-4 years...look what happened when they signed tinsley. let granger start or sign someone else.
just how big is the market for shooters that do little else? peja looked great in sacramento's system... but he won't get near the $$$ he's looking for.
It's hard to say if i would want Pega or not. Don't get me wrong he's a great player but i really don't think we need anymoe shots to be taken. Especially 3 balls.
Well there's only 5 teams that will be under the cap enough to sign him(Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, New Orleans and Toronto). So unless one of them signs him, he's staying in Indy.
He'll go to the knicks in a sign and trade where he'll pick up a 6 year max contract and the pacers will get the expiring contracts of Maurice Taylor and Jalen Rose.
