Default 49ers Respond, trade for Anquan Boldin

Reportedly traded a 6th round pick for Anquan Boldin. Just got the ESPN update on my phone. Waiting for a link.

I realize that, having just won an SB Bmore thinks their QB walks on water but you don't improve by trading the guy that caught every important ball thrown at him in the playoffs for a 6th round pick. Plus, why the **** couldn't NE get in on this action?

Or even the Chiefs? They would have a nice team starting to form there. Alot of teams could have had him. It's all about who makes the phone calls.

Props to the 9ers front office for inquiring. I'm guessing everyone else was going to wait for him get cut before they made a move for him.

I heard that Boldin was going to retired if the ravents let go of him, that may be the reason teams are hesitant.

Also, Bolding is making either 6 or 8million a year. I don't think a team like the Pats can afford him(unless they give up Welker) and that's obviously not a good idea.

The Niners needed a physical WR anyways so it's a good trade.

49ers are stacked

Boldin somehow got underrated over the years...he is an amazing WR

Brady restructured to create space and Welker is testing the market. I would like to see him return but Bolden would make losing him a lot easier to accept.

Can the 49ers realistically trade for Revis, sign Ed Reed and John Abraham? If they can, then that's basically cheating.

No. SF took years to build a team and fix their salary cap woes. No way they blow cap space on those players without using the space to resign their own.

On paper they look scary, but there is no such thing as a lock in the NFL.
