My brother graduated from University of Oregon with a degree in CS. I have no idea what he does but he makes a lot of money. He also gets crazy bonuses. It's a good career if you know what you're doing.

If you're under 25 you should be studying coding at some level. There's a ton of open jobs for computer engineers.

Dude, any night of the week in NYC you can find some tech group getting together on Meetup.com. You'll find tons of startups, some with venture captial looking for good engineers. All the other folks who do computer stuff, graphic artists, project managers, ....any of the non heavy tech stuff....might have trouble finding work but skilled coders will have no problems. However, everyone is chased the top folks.

If I was in college, I would give serious thought to saving enough money to buy a cheap car and rent a tiny room within a 2 hour drive of silicon valley. Then if I didn't get hired out of school, go there and just to these meetups until I got hired.

I was looking for a job recently and I heard a lot of people talking about how very soon America will have a million more coding jobs than it can fill. I heard people saying that every child in grade school in American should study coding.

Yeah, from what I've read/heard there are lots of venture capital guys and angel investors these days pretty eager to throw money at startups. The bottleneck seems to be the talent and idea supply rather than the funding.

This kid I know showed me a video on how coding is the future and all employees in the future should have a basic understanding of it. Chris Bosh was actually in the video saying how he coded a lot in school or some shit (The kid isn't a basketball fan either) It's interesting, but....aint nobody got time fo dat

Heres a computer science question

You have been asked to design the entire cabling system for a medical instrument
manufacturer’s new central warehouse. The company already has three
buildings within two city blocks, and the warehouse will be its fourth building.
Currently, the buildings run on separate networks, but the company
would like to be able to exchange data among them. For example, the Quality
Control Department in building 1 would like to be able to access servers in
the Research Department in building 2. In addition, the Sales Department
in building 3 wants to conduct video training sessions for its representatives
in the field via the Internet. Next door, in the warehouse, 50 shipping and
packing personnel in the Fulfillment Department will be riding up and down
the aisles on forklifts pulling inventory off the shelves on a daily basis. What
kind of transmission media would you recommend for each different building
and department of the medical instrument company and why? What type of
media would you recommend using to connect the buildings and why? Finally,
what kind of media should the company request from its ISP for connecting
the corporate WAN to the Internet?
