Default Rip Vs. Redd

who's better? i just want some piston fan comments because i believe even though Redd is injured, he should have been chosen over Hamilton to the all-star team.. (no offense to Rip)...

I think Redd is better then rip, but under the circumstances I think they made the right decision, Redd is hurt, rip is on one of the best if not the best teams in the Eastern conference, and they like to pick players on the teams that are doing well, like the four pistons last year. Even though I was surprised when I heard rip was selected, I thought chauncey had a good shot but I didn't think another piston would make it.

I have to agree, I would take Redd over Rip. But with Redd being injured the next best option in the East is Rip. He works as hard as anybody and has put up the numbers to go along with it. Had Redd been healthy the East's all-star line up would be a bit different. Look at the way Redd lit up Kobe earlier this season, he really is one of the best shooters in the game. I think any team in the NBA would love to have him. Imagine what the Cavs would look like right now if they would have lured him from the Bucks when he was a free agent. The Pistons may not be the team with the best record in the East.

Redd is a very underrated player. He is a scorer and not just a shooter. That's what puts him above Rip.

Rip has trouble getting his shot off with contact, whereas Redd excels in that category.

Rip is a better playmaker, rebounder, and shooter. I don't know enough about Redd's defense to compare (except that I see he averages a steal per game).

Something else to consider is that Redd is more of a volume shooter than Rip. I'm not saying he's a chucker but he does take about 3 or 4 shots more than Rip.

Redd is a better scorer overall, but I think Rip is a more complete player on a more complete team.

Redd is better than Rip, no doubt about it...

however hamilton deserved to be on the all-star squad over redd due to injury..

redd is dead-set underated,

Redd is a much better shooter than rip.

But Rip is a much better defender. And he's unparalleled in the mid range shot. If i had to choose between the 2 i would take rip for his defense.

im sorry dude, but hamilton isnt a much better defender than redd. Rip is a decent defender, while redd was known for his defense not his shooting when he came out of college, and also when he was coming of the bench behind ray ray. id say nowdays they are pretty equal on defense, they are both amazing shooters, but redd is a better scorer than Rip, gets to the line better, shoots the 3 better, and that is pretty much the only difference between the 2...
