I think DeNiro could pull off Vito, Damon would pull Hagen and Fredo's replacement wouldn't be too hard to find. .

Jeremy Renner as Sonny isn't a bad choice either.

Not sure who put as Micheal. Maybe Jon Hamm?

he played Vito in the character's 20s. It's a much older version of the same fukcing face, voice, etc.

Deniro's (younger) Vito may even be better than Brando's. Deniro won an Oscar for the character

This. People forget how DeNiro nailed that role. Especially with the dialect and everything. But I guess Kevin Spacey would be better

He got every little nuance right, even some physical mannerisms that Brando did in the original (ie, the particular way Vito scratches his upper lip). You can see he really did his homework for that one. I think he spent a few months learning Italian for the role too.

Agreed. He did an amazing job. But im also biased, im more of a fan of the Part II.

Both are amazingly good, but Part II is about as perfect of a movie as you can get. Plus, I preferred the Hyman Roth storyline more.
