Default Marathon

Anyone here run a marathon? If so, what was your time?

I'm planning on doing my first half marathon in September and will hopefully do a full one sometime soon.

Run.

Are there any ripped dudes who do marathons regularly?

I'm scared of burning off muscle mass from all that cardio overkill.

A few of my uncles have done the NY marathon, took them a couple tries to get in. One of my uncles (big runner) ran one in a little over 3 hours, not sure on the exact time though.

I'm not sure. I've though about this too as I would like to start really getting into running but I also want to keep my somewhat muscular upper body. I'd like to think that it would be possible to have a balance between the two.

The events are fun, I've run a bunch of 1/2 marathons and 16k's.

Anything beyond that is too far for me though. I leasurely run for about 50 minutes two to three times a week, I'd have to do more to run a solid marathon.

My half marathons top out at about 1 hour 35 minutes.
