Default Jimmy Butler doing big things

Bulls guard Jimmy Butler played a huge role in Tuesday's game against the Raptors, as Luol Deng was forced to sit with an injury. Butler played 48 minutes in the game, his fifth game in a row playing at least 40. He scored a career-high 28 points on 10 of 12 shooting in the game, including 3 of 3 on 3-pointers. He added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals, in a 101-98 loss.

Another offseason of working on his 3-point shot and ball handling is sure to have him on another level next season. Definitely has earned the right to compete for that starting two guard position next year.
A healthy lineup of Rose-Butler-Deng-Boozer-Noah is extremely completive and will not have many weaknesses. That's a versatile group that has a very good balance between offense and defense. When you take out Boozer and put in Taj with that lineup that is a scary defensive unit.
Of course we're always going to think about the Heat so think about the matchups... Rose would guard Chalmers. Butler would guard Wade. Deng would guard Lebron. Taj could guard Battier or whoever they have as their stretch 4 or actual power forward and Noah guards Bosh. If we play smart and physical that team could give Miami a really tough series and maybe come out on top.
We need to get some instant offense and outside shooting for the bench though.

I'd keep Nate for that very reason. If he doesn't have it play Hinrich more minutes than Nate and let him get guys in position. We just gotta find that outside shooting and probably one good defensive big to make it work.
