What types of stuff do you post on social media sites?
I used to post random cool phrases that came up in my mind. I put up wise quotes that I read and wise phrases that I come up with.. Is it weird to put up stuff on facebook that is not "Hey, I got smashed last night" or "I got high on marijuana yesterday" or vacation pictures? I find pot-heads and people that get drunk to the point of passing out as a turn off. I see lots of people from HS days posting those types of nonsense. As a social introvert, I don't understand how that is even interesting or knowledgeable. Makes some of them look like fools..
For example, I posted few months back something like "Memories keep the past alive. Dreams and educating yourself keeps the present alive. Inspiration and innovation is what drives humanity forward." I didn't receive any responses. Then I posted some hate stuff of athletes getting overpaid, and I received quite a few responses and "Likes". I am thinking of pulling back on posts now - seems like people don't want to read anything wise or wise quotes or w/e.
They don't want to read about inspiration, education, greatness of life, working hard, dreaming, innovation, science, etc. People only care about vacations, partying, getting high, buying expensive clothes/etc, making money, etc. Am I hanging out with the wrong people or is it just how people are nowadays? Maybe I'm too socially introverted to understand people at all....
And then I complain on father's day about how my baby's daddy aint around.
And then I ask everyone on facebook what to do about my child still pissing his bed at 7 years old.
For real though, I usually make posts about where I'm at and my travels and important news about my life (like moving to Australia type important...not I just had coffee important). I've posted where I'm at before and a buddy texted me telling me he was around there too. And we ended up hanging out. Facebook is a great tool for that. Not necessarily attention whoring
