The real way to deal with it without using drugs or other aids is to get your body and mind to adapt. It takes some discipline though. I ve battled insomnia for a long time.
Go to sleep every single day at the same EXACT time, and wake up at the same time. When you go to sleep make it a routine, brush your teeth etc.. Turn off any lights 30 mins before. Do not look at any computers or screens. Your brain gives off a chemical that makes you stay awake when it sees light. The first couple of days itll be uncomfortable and you still wont feel any imporvement, but after 5 days you will start to fall asleep faster and faster.
