Default Do You Want to See the Miami Heat Break the Wins Streak Record?

How many people here are rooting for Miami to break the wins streak record? I am. I want to see history. We all can hate on Lebron and how he acted like a insecure little man child with the whole Decision fiasco.

However, when the dust settles, we look back on the entire situation with a mature perspective. He's an athlete. He's human. Humans make mistakes. We all have. Our lives just aren't posted on a giant bulletin board called SportsCenter. Our words aren't replayed over and over again through channels injected with ESPN or splattered on celeb gossip websites like TMZ.

We can argue that he joined forces to stack the NBA deck of cards in his favor. Who hasn't? We can say he failed to live up to expectations in the 2011 NBA Finals versus the Dallas Mavericks. That's history.

This is the now. The present.

We live in the now, and right now the 2013 Miami Heat seem to be a team of destiny. Will they break the NBA wins streak record? Will they forever forge this team into the pantheon of NBA greatness.

I for one can't wait to see how the story unfolds. Good luck Miami Heat! It seems the NBA Gods are with you. Or.. maybe just the NBA kings(or king..)

I guess it would be pretty entertaining.

It would definitely strengthen LeBron's GOAT arguments when the dust settles. You know if it happens, the stans will not let it go to waste

That depends. Do they win a trophy if they break the wins streak? I mean, how else is Pauk going to photoshop this achievement into his "U Mad?" pic?

don't really care what the random posters n stans are going to bring to the board. I want the heat to take the record, this is some serious shit in the making. If they are capable of doing it, ready to make history happens, I'm ready to witness it. James is an incredible player, I want to see him achieve more

No but only because that means the Knicks lose the game to them. Otherwise i could care less. It's a pointless achievement. The title, the back to back ,that will be impressive and i will give props. This streak, a statistical anomaly. They are playing shitty teams and almost losing. It's not like they are winning by 10 every game.

Agreed. 26 in a row is not impressive. That's why it happens so often.

Stats do not lie:
Miami:
25 and counting (discounting Bobcats blowout win)
winning by an average of 11 ppg
13 games at home won by 10.3 ppg (6 against playoff teams - 11 ppg)
12 games away won by 11.8 ppg (6 against playoff teams - 8.8 ppg)

It's not important. Statistical accumulations are not important. If their schedule was broken up differently and some different teams later rather than earlier they'd have more losses recently, same record, no streak. I'm more impressed by the overall record, and the fact they look like they are cruising toward a title. Not the streak.

The Rockets a few years ago won what, 22 in a row? That team was meh.

The title possibility, the play of Lebron, these things impress me. The streak not so much.

If statistical accomplishments get you hard, that's your thing, not mine. If you told me the Knicks could go 82-0 next year i'd ask "do we win the title?". Would not give 2 shits about it.

Have you watched recently? Did you see them struggle at Cleveland? Fall behind every game?

Let me ask everyone something, if Miami wins out and has the longest streak ever and then doesn't win the title, do you care? NO?

That's my point.

Look, what the Knicks and Heat have accomplished as the Top 2 seeds in the East, along with both their hard fought impressive win streaks is nothing short of amazing.
