I have only listened to one Tyler, the Creator song('Yonkers') and wasn't impressed.

What am I missing? Dude is terrible.

Why do you think he's terrible? He's not for the closed minded.

I honestly didn't like him at first, enjoyed Earl much more, but Tyler really grew on me. After I watched a few of his interviews, I began to understand his approach and enjoy his music.

this is going to sound stupid but yonkers is one of the worst songs ever because its one of those cornerstone raps for people who think they're edgy and listen to crazy shit or whatever.

i cannot appreciate a song like that.

similar reason of why i hate kobe.

why does other peoples opinions of a song, ruin the song for you? why does it matter?

Mediocre beat, no flow to speak of, over-the-top shock value just for the sake of shocking.

There were a couple funny lines in there, but it didn't help me understand why he has such a mass following.

Any other songs I should check out? I can't sift through all the material for myself, because I have no desire to come across any songs that are worse than that hit of his.

Well, I have listened to artists like Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Sole (Anticon), Sage Francis, El-P, and Cage... so I think I'm open-minded enough to appreciate alternative approaches.

Maybe I'll check out some interviews. Got any other song recommendations?

I was going to post this, but then I realized that he was probably just referring to the nature of the song rather than the people who listen to it.
