Mediocre beat, no flow to speak of, over-the-top shock value just for the sake of shocking.

There were a couple funny lines in there, but it didn't help me understand why he has such a mass following.

Any other songs I should check out? I can't sift through all the material for myself, because I have no desire to come across any songs that are worse than that hit of his.

I honestly didn't like him at first, enjoyed Earl much more, but Tyler really grew on me. After I watched a few of his interviews, I began to understand his approach and enjoy his music.

Well, I have listened to artists like Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Sole (Anticon), Sage Francis, El-P, and Cage... so I think I'm open-minded enough to appreciate alternative approaches.

Maybe I'll check out some interviews. Got any other song recommendations?

I was going to post this, but then I realized that he was probably just referring to the nature of the song rather than the people who listen to it.

there's plenty of songs that i can't listen to because i know the crowd it has around it. it makes me unable to enjoy the song

What am I missing? Dude is terrible.

You either hate him or love him. His new album is a lot different than previous. There is not much shock value shit in it. He took a different approach to this album. But yea his music definitely isn't for everybody.

Spitting bars=murked it lyrically. The kid has bars, the substance doesn't really matter to me.
