I recently started a thread about the East being basically equal to the West 1-10 if not for all of the injuries.

It would be nice to see Rose return in time for the playoffs, but who knows? But still, I think 3-7 in the East with the lineups that you'll probably see in the playoffs is about as good as 3-8 in the West.

When i think about it if east can get healthy their top 4-5 teams might be better than west top 4-5

Look at this you have miami bulls pacers boston knicks all of them have suffocating defense and when healthy very good offense.

Over all the West is slightly tougher, there are five teams in the West with 50 wins compared to the East with two and a possible third in Indiana. The bottom of the East is weaker then the West because of two teams that are below .300. The current 3 through 8 seeds from the west are better overall then the 3 to 8 in the East.

The West has better teams but the two TOP teams may reside in the East.

factor in injuries though, and it could be a toss-up between the top 4 seeds.

Spurs
Thunder
Clippers
Grizzlies

Heat
Knicks
Pacers
Chicago

New York who is currently 2nd place in the East would be 6th place in the West.

Thats why they have won 10 of the last 14 titles.

And it will be another after Spurs wins in june.
