I don't think you understand what I'm saying. Phil is part of the family now. Jeannie's money is his money. His money is Jeannie's money. He's basically part owner of a billion dollar franchise now. He has a monetary, not just prideful, interest in this team doing well.

Sure, he can screw Jim Buss. He'd also being screwing his wife at the same time. At some point, as a family you let bygones be bygones.

What? Utah has not lost a single home game all year to a below .500 team. Are you high?

I think sadly it's more likely that he doesn't at this point. I don't expect Phil to take the job after how things went down with D'Antoni's hiring and with Kobe maybe retiring in a year.

Lakers supposedly traded prime Shaq because they didn't want to pay him 20mil per... but are fine holding on to old Kobe making 30mil per year.

A young coach that would be with them for many years to come, like Brian Shaw for example

Amnesty Kobe would probably be the most sensible move they could make this offseason, but it's the last one they would consider because kid buss wants to be loved and everyone in that city loves kobe, he doesnt have the gust to face the backlash. Even tho if you think about it kobe has no concern for lakers organization or fans. He tried to ignore phil (phil called him uncoachable in his book) and then he got shaq traded, he pouted when he couldnt do it on his own and demanded a trade, he never took a paycut to help the roster, he shoots them out of ball games a lot so he can chase point total records, he gave mike brown a cold shoulder, he wont play defense etc. etc.

But these Laker fans man, they are like that woman who gets abused by their husband but still loves him becuase they just aint smart enough to know any better.

Well Mike Brown and Mike D'Antoni have both had a lot of regular season success with other teams. In my opinion chemistry is the problem and it all comes from Kobe.

Shaq hated Kobe, Bynum criticized Kobe, Howard didnt even want the LA trade bc of Kobe, Pau is clearly burnt out on playing with Kobe.

The entire organization and city submits to the whims of Kobe, even tho stats show the team is better when hes not shooting. He still shoots them out of games constantly and all his loyal legions scramble to find scapegoats.

Its quite an incredible thing to witness just from a social phenomenon perspective. Hes like the leader of a religion making very questionable decisions and his adoring followers never question it.

Dwight is already dickriding other NBA teams like the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets on the low. So we'll never know until the summer.
