Default anybody into Marvel Comics? Want 700 free comics?

Just saw this promo they are running. It's just until tomorrow

https://promo.marvel.com/

I haven't read the fine print, but it looks like they are giving away a ton of stuff in search of new customers.

Digital comics. Signed up, but it would be awesome to get a few physical ones as promos, from time to time with these new ads.

I'm in boycott mode until they bring Spiderman back and start treating Cyclops with respect. And I don't even want to start on how they destroyed the Ultimate X-Men. That shit is ridiculous, no one should be buying that kind of crap.

I've only just finished reading AvX and this is the first time I've found Cyclops even moderately interesting. I'm actually getting back into comics from like a 15 year hiatus (last time I was reading them Onslaught was on the scene lol).

I'm thinking of starting with All New X-men and Uncanny X-men. Any one have suggestions on what else to look at?

After Robert Kirkman the comics went to crap. If it wasn't because they kill the Original Wolverine and Cyclops I would probably like this comic.

I do wonder what happened to his brother though. LAst time I saw him he was on the looney bin and he was talking to his dead brother Cyclops....

That's good for you, so go ahead and read more but I don't care for ridiculous story lines. Cyclops gets taken over by the Phoenix and kills Professor X? Stop it. They're just aiming for shock value and Marvel-wide crossover "events" to try and get us to buy all 50 Wolverine comics coming out that week.

Plus you know that within a year Professor X will be revived.

But it does beat "Ultimate" X-Men. They decided it was a good idea to kill off any character regarded as interesting and put all the mutants on a bean farm led by Shadowcat. Now that's unforgivable.

That is the part that they are annoying me with. They have too many titles! Getting back into it is the most confusing thing ever.

Its different I admit. I like Thor so I started reading Ultimate Thor so far. I thought I would not like the fact he is somewhat depowered (apparently a lot of them are I heard)but it makes sense within the context of the story, plus I like the meld of ancient legend with high technology.

As a sidebar I started on Uncanny Avengers 6. Apocalypse faces off against a young Thor in the 11th century in a scheme to erase the Avengers ancestors. Really well done so far and the art by Daniel Acuna is amazing.
